Overlooking the newly paved road towards Posaga, as well as the Natural Reservation carrying its name, Belioara is in a very wild part of the valley. Since the village is situated in a slightly elevated position, the 18th century church also boasts a great view into the surrounding nature.

Except for the views, which are even more astounding from the church tower, it is mostly the interior that really catches ones eyes. Colourful displays of orthodox and biblical themes take you deep into a world, that suddenly feels very real. And certainly still has a deep importance to many villagers, whose beliefs couldnt even be wiped out by communist rule in the past.
