If you dont fear sore feat, you can reach the hiking trail by foot, or you drive there by car. We also offer rental bikes and pickups if you like!

Since 1941 the 132,5 hectar Natural Reservation Scarita Belioara is protected for its unique flora and fauna.  Apart from the Sesul Craiului (the wise mans plateau) there are also several caves that can be explore - the most famouse being Cosul Boului (oxes-basket). What makes this reservation so special though, is the stark contrast, created by the many different underlying geological structures: rough mountainsides in a stark contrast to soft hills with colourful mountain meadows. Over 400, partially very rare flowers find one of their last refuges on earth, here in Belioara.
